He was obviously being cynical with the title thread because all we hear and see in the news is that White Republicans are against school districts cramming LGTBQ curriculum down the throats of students. Devout Hispanic Catholics and Arab Muslims are very conservative on social matters. No surprise here since they don't want their children being exposed to values that are not in line with there religious views.
I am not debating the issue brought up in the thread. I believe parents have every right to protest books they feel are not appropriate for kids.
I am commenting on OP's attempt to create a clickbait thread title. It is as bad as the clickbait headlines put up by news organizations that so many on this forum consistently object to.
What is the point of making a patently false thread title when you "make a correction" in the first line of your post?
Are you going for the City Data "Fake thread of the year" award?
Use of that literary device emphasizes the hypocrisy and explodes the lies provided by the DOJ and media that parents having an issue at school board meeting are white supremacists and deserve to be monitored by the FBI. All others get a pass.
Oops it seems they are Arabic Muslims.
Hundreds of protesters packed a Dearborn Public Schools board meeting this week and shut it down with cries of anger over certain LGBTQ books they said are too sexually explicit for children. And now, some ......
Wat... Muslims protesting 'Woke Politics of the Left' ~???
Ohhh...that's ok~
(for a second i thought you said 'Whites were protesting'-----my reply would have been 'Send out the National Guard' ~!!
Arab Muslims (ok)---- White Nationalists (not ok)
See how that works!~
Bhahaaah

No one said their not tax payers, no one said they can't express their opinions and challenge whatever books but its obvious you obviously missed the part where I said "They are more than welcome to challenge the books IAW the districts policy or to prohibit their children from checking out those books."
School curriculum and resources are for everyone regardless of their religious views, they can restrict their Childs access but not everyone else.
Save the Red Meat rhetoric about the books which are approved and vetted through multiple sources. Like the protesters you are free to restrict your children on what they read and you are no better or worse a parent than what you assume that I am.
