The Democrats are the political party that rounded up all the Red people East of the Mississippi and fored them into camps.

The Republican party didnt yet exist.

So, the DNC should pay reparations to the entire Red Nation out of their campaign coffers.

The Democrat party have been the biggest racists on Earth, since their inception.

And then you have the other elephant in the room. The Caribbean Islands were once dominated by "Native Americans" so to speak, but now they are mostly Black or Hispanics.

What happened to Native Americans was horrible, but is it justice to lie, sanitize, and cover up history to pretend that various native peoples didn't own slaves, including own slaves pre-Columbus, cannibalize, conquer other natives, perform human sacrifice, destroy their local environment, etc?
A very few wealthy, mixed race Cherokee and Muscogee people had slaves. It was not common and non-existent among the full blood tribal members, who were the ones that truly suffered on the trail. Three of the Five Civilized Tribes that were forced on the Trail of Tears had no slaves at all. These few mixed-race slave holders had large plantations in the south that were taken from them due to their mix-race heritage. They had been promised by Andrew Jackson they could stay in the south and he betrayed them. These mixed-race landowners were quite wealthy and lived mostly as white people both before and after the trail of tears.

Some small number of slaves were purchased by the Muscogee after the Trail of Tears, but not as workers, as replacement husbands and wives due to the amount of death on the trail. They became family members. The Five Tribes also brought in Scottish and Italian settlers to help mine in Indian Territory. They intermarried as well.

Cannibalism was practiced by just a handful, three or four, North American tribes from what today is the southwest United States. Probably due to contact with central American tribes that did practice human sacrifice and cannibalism. That's three or four out of more than 500 North American tribes.

Slavery in pre-Columbian America was isolated pretty much to war prisoners. Yes, the tribes has wars just like every other people on earth. There was no such thing as chattel slavery pre contact.

Absurd to selectively obliterate founding fathers and US history based on, 'once upon a time ism".

MO said in a 2008 speech in PR, 'we have to rewrite our history'. Obama had a script handed him and was ordered to ease in the socialist handlers. Once they lost the coronation in 2016, they pulled out all stops to never again lose and election.
I guess you pay attention to the left a more than i do. I dismiss their rhetoric. Only speech I recall from Obama was the YOU DIDNT BUILT THAT speech. Offensive enough to tune him out permanently.

Do you really believe what you say or it feels good to say it? You have a video of this "script" handed to him and he changes is speech mid sentence? I would like see the evidence. I am all ears.

There have been legal issues about the status and rights of the African Americans associated with the tribes for decades now.

I guess that news never got to Michigan.

Get over it. History is written by the groups in power.

I am tired of the adoration of the Amerindians for so long now. I refuse to call them native Americans because they were no more native to this country/continent than the European settlers were. Anyone born here to citizen or legal immigrant parents is a native American there are no special ones. The Amerindians were just as guilty of evil as the European settlers were.

I have seen many stories over my 70+ years about American Indians that mentioned that they had slaves and engaged in brutal practices. I have seen articles and essays about some factor of American Indian lives that did not mention their keeping slaves.
However, Almost every scholarly article mentioned kidnaping and slave keeping and worse.
I have NEVER seen anyone claim that Indians did not keep slaves.

The fact that you didn't know this before only says that you used to be poorly read and only now are expanding your your knowledge. I say kudo's to you for expanding your knowledge, but you shouldn't imagine that the rest of us are ignorant.

If you are curious about pre-columbian Americans, I recommend the book "1491".
It's well documented with footnotes for further reading.

It was a "cover up" of course.

Since Oklahoma is a deep blue state there were able to cover up native history regarding slaves and keep the rest of the country in the dark, especially swing states like Michigan. Probably is why Biden won. Oh wait...
