The price of cereals, milk and cheese all went up along with energy bills and transport costs.

Some 85% of those asked are now worried about the rising cost of living, up from 69% in a similar poll in January.

As a result, nine in 10 people are trying to save money by delaying putting the heating on.

Hello, the UK AGAIN!? Things are no worse here than they are anywhere else on the planet! Inflation is global, the alarming rise in energy costs is global, In fact things are actually better here than in (for example) the EU which, unlike the UK, relied heavily on Russian gas

Perhaps you can tell me why you, among others obsess over the UK?

That new conservative leader and her policies made things so much worse. There's a lesson there.

It has almost nothing to do with Russia/Ukraine. The United States started seeing massive inflation in the spring of 2021, almost 9 months before the Russia/Ukraine.

There is 2.5 reasons why the United States has inflation.

1. Congress passed massive spending bills signed by Biden, paid for by printing trillions of dollars.
2. Biden cut off federal land leases from oil exploration, which hurt the dollar.
3. Supply Chain has been kinked up.

The UK has inflation for issues on its own different merits.

Maybe, because the British elite doesn't care about the British.

Mrs Thatcher closed British coal mines. Coal could keep the British warm. But coal creates smog, so the elite can't play golf without sneezing.
