You're naive if you think anyone is going to jail.
They both have assault charges against them and have issued a statement they are working together to get those charges dropped.
The state isn't likely to move forward with a case for a victim who won't cooperate with them or testify especially if he has no priors.
And if they do, the judge will give him a stern warning, maybe a fine and/or some mandatory state sponsored anger management classes/counseling.
Ridiculous to say this has anything to do with Crist's ability to judge character. Domestic violence especially in this socio-economic group usually takes place behind closed doors and abusers are very good at showing a totally different personality in public and at work.
