... the House speaker is the latest to find that the issue has no clear answers.

"How Republicans plan to do so remains to be seen. One piece of legislation proposed, the Border Safety and Security Act, was among almost a dozen bills that House Majority Leader Steve Scalise pledged Republicans would bring to the floor in the first two weeks of their new majority. But the bill has yet to be brought to the floor because of reported disagreements within the party, as even a handful of dissenters have the power to derail legislation within such a narrow majority."

Sort of sounds like the Afganistan's Taliban troubles. Leadership looks so easy, until you get there.

so what are you saying? don’t even bother securing the border? Or, ha ha Republicans are ineffective buffoons? because I already knew that one.

Real leadership would be funding the wall to be built and sending these people back to where they came from or someplace worse.

Within the Republican party there are the Rinos of course. Same with the Democrats they don't always agree on everything.

Did you not read the entire article or just refused to acknowledge this part of it?

“Republicans have been taking action – we’ve got a lot of ideas inside Congress,” he said. “This is different than the Congress before. We’re just not going to write the bill and put it on the floor, we’re going to listen to the people that are on the border, we’re going to listen to border agents. We want the very best ideas.”

Sigh. This really isn't that hard. The only "plan" needed is to go back to how it was before puddle brain become POTUS: enforce existing laws. Not sure why Dems have such a hard time with the enforcement of laws. Perhaps it has something to do with padding their voting roles with the dregs of society.

What does this have to do with inability of the GOP to bring a border security bill to the table?

It has nothing to do with it -- a standard for some -- always responding with a non sequitur.

Funny how you are always missing the point, even when it's stated. Leadership isn't easy, as the House majority is now learning. It's so much easier to sit on the sidelines and heckle.
