Portland Police union head rejects Oregon Dem governor candidate's claim to support police

Portland Police Association President Sgt. Aaron Schmautz on Thursday disputed claims Oregon Democratic gubernatorial candidate Tina Kotek made in the Wednesday night debate about her support for law enforcement.

...
During an exchange on policing, Kotek drew flak from Johnson and Drazan about her "Defund the Police" positions and support for rioters during the 2020 riots in the state.

The Democrat rejected those assertions, saying "I've always supported our state police," which Schmautz told Fox News is "simply not true."

...
"I do not believe that there is anything on the record that would suggest a temperate approach or support for law enforcement in rural, urban, or suburban areas, or big cities or anything else," he continued.

Total obliteration of her lie.

It is true that many of us have short memories and some have selective memories BUT when you say something on video or in writing it is there to be referenced for all time.

Do the Dems that supported the Defund the Police movement really think they can flip flop on that and no one would notice or care to notice? Well the Die Hard Dems will allow their candidates to Pivot BUT the average voter needs to remember in November that this Anti Police, soft on crime stance the Dems took has produced more victims across the country.

If in 2020 you were against the Police chances are you still are OR you may have been pandering OR flat out Lying to appease your base.

Voters need to remember that the Dems are Pro Criminal.
