So texts indicating the intent to arrange an informational and planning meeting at the White House has everything to do with Capitol Police escorting protestors into the Capital building and arresting them for being there (so says a reporter from Rolling Stone magazine familiar with MTG's thinking).

Well, you have to understand, the left considers any opinion countering their own, on any topic, treason. I wouldn't be surprised if the dictionaries were to soon reflect this definition.
