WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden on Wednesday compared Republican plans on taxes and spending if they take control of Congress in November to the economic plan rolled out by Britain's former Prime Minister Liz Truss, warning of similar results.

"You read about what happened in England recently, and the last Prime Minister, she wanted to cut taxes for the super wealthy," Biden said during a fundraising call for Michigan lawmaker Cynthia Axne.

"It caused economic chaos in the country. Well, that's what they did last time and they want to do it again. And they want to make that tax cut permanent — that $2 trillion," Biden said.

Interesting. That would rid us of 1 of the Dems true talking points of the 17 TCJIA - that all the personal tax breaks would expire in 2025.

You middle-income wage earners - did you hear that? The GOP wants to make your tax cut (and higher deductions I hope) PERMANENT.

And tillman and his other leftist friends oppose that.

how many times do we have to tell you what the proposals are? Or, are you using the "well, that's not a REAL solution!" diatribe?

First 2:

1. Stop this student debt relief nonsense.
2. Stop the climate and energy bill (the Inflation [non]Reduction Act)

Yeah, Biden's handling of Covid has also been poor.

Not quite true...inflation can be traced back to Biden moratorium on oil production. The less gas/diesel the higher prices. Truckers have pass down their fuel cost to the market place which is the main reason of higher prices in everything you buy. When it cost a trucker a thousand dollars+ to fill his tank...well there you go.
https://myautomachine.com/how-much-d...-a-semi-truck/

Government spending can also be a cause of inflation as more money is printed out which can be directly traced back to Biden and the democrats and in some cases like the stimulus money both parties were guilty of.

Inflation was not entirely a product of the pandemic as inflation started long after the pandemic started. Mainly on the first day Biden was sworn into office and he stop oil production as part of the lefts 'Green' Climate change agenda.

Inflation could be contained simply by discontinuing the Russian sanctions and incentivizing US energy producers instead of handcuffing them as Biden has done combined with repeal of the Inflation Turbocharging Act that the Dems passed with zero Repubs Senators signing on.

Inflation began before the European handouts, due to rising fuel costs; we need to drill...now.
But yeah, some of the foreign policy disaster and economic pain would have been avoided had DT remained in office. As Republicans don't have the penchant to print and devalue fiat currency like the Dems, who seem to have very little understanding of economics.
We can no longer trust the figures being provided on the economy, as they simply change the methods used to comprise the stats...moving the goal posts so to speak.

The handouts were primarily from the Trump administration.

Actually the hand outs started years ago during the LBJ administration. Known as 'The Great Society' and the start of Generational welfare.

Wrong, they were primarily from the Biden Administration although the Democrat House and Senate passed a huge stimulus plan that Trump signed as well. The one that Trump signed probably was necessary as we were really locked down then. The two that Biden signed were not necessary, they just stimulated inflation.

there go the goalposts. The claim was Biden didn't continue "Trump's" reckless spending.

Inflation didn't start rising until March 2021 - Biden.
"Trump's" $2T was near unanimously-approved (a handful of R Reps voted Nay).
That $2T wasn't even all spent, because economically we did better than what was PLANNED for - despite continuing restrictions in many states.

I got about 1/3 of the stimmy amount. I gave stimmy 1 & 2 to charity. I didn't get stimmy 3. By the time 2 & 3 rolled around, I had gone from 2 kids to 1, and got the Child Tax Credit of $250/mo which went to pay for her gas to get to school and back.
