They already have the Fiesta Bowl, and that happens every year. Phoenix wouldn't wither up and die without an occasional super bowl, and go ahead, annoy half the viewing audience because you don't like one woman hypothetically occupying one seat in government.
They haven't offered the boycott, but it would be absurd if they did.
I'm not saying Arizona should cave if it came to it.
I'm just being honest about what's at stake. It's more than just a game for many. But the border issues are more important if we want to continue consider the importance of a law abiding populace.
Last game attended: Thursday 11/14/19. Browns beat the Steelers 21-7. That was my 125th and final NFL game in person.
Last game watched: Super Bowl LIV 2/2/20.
When I tuned in on Thursday September 10th, 2020, to watch the Chiefs vs. Texans I was treated to the "black national anthem," players kneeling, and sporting the names of criminals on their helmets. I turned the TV off and I have never and will never return.
I supported the NFL for 50 years. 1970-2019. Between tickets, parking, food, jerseys, pennants, t-shirts, jackets, and every conceivable piece of Cleveland Browns swag the NFL enjoyed a sizeable slice of my disposable income. That ended that day at that moment.
I'm not at that point yet - since sports is about the only regular TV I watch (and Abbott Elementary).
They aren't making it easy. If it gets too bad, I will turn it off for the day.
The Football Forum has dried up a lot. I DM'ed one person just to see if she was doing OK - and she said she purposely stopped watching the NFL as you did.
She's good. Very articulate answer. My answer to that question would have alienated a whole lot of people--not to mention it would have been bleeped. She did a great job of keeping it civil and as I said, articulate.
She's outstanding! Solid Iowa values coming through loud and clear.
As impressed as I am with SD's Kristi Noem, Lake comes across with greater strength and confidence. Add Tudor Dixon in Michigan and I'm more inspired by up-and-coming Republican women candidates than at any time in memory.

Again, the Fiesta Bowl. Same stadium, filled every year with even more rabid fans than the semi-bored aristocrats who can afford Super Bowl tickets.
Phoenix is fine without that one "every 15 years or so" event.
So — this was supposed to be a Debate, but Hobbs is too chicken to show up. So it’s an interview.
Apparently the interviewer thinks a silly petition from Jan-Feb 2022 is probably a crucial priority to the Election in 10 days . That’s pretty insane. She handled it well, surprised she didn’t laugh in his face.
Laugh all you wish, but I was living in NC during the Great Bathroom Bill kerfuffle of the mid 2000's and after organized sports leagues had enough of it and took their show elsewhere, the Your Text Here- phobes ended up piping down after they saw the harm they caused. A lot of people got hurt because of the bill and barely any of them were the groups the aforementioned phobe's were looking to hurt. I just think about all the parking lot attendants, food vendors, local set up crews, bus drivers, etc. that got burned out of a paycheck because some people obviously can't play well with others and feel the need to stand on the necks of anyone different than themselves. Thankfully after some months and many bypassed events cooler heads prevailed and the Bathroom Bill miraculously exploded into a million shiny little pieces of glittery hate and was carried away in the wind.
Yup, laugh all you wish just know that, at least in NC's case, millions and millions of dollars in revenue losses are/were very real. Careful AZ, with Lake you'll be playing with the same fire that burned you in 1993. Did you not learn anything?

Ironically, when I first discovered City Data, I posted on the Football Forum almost exclusively. Now I never go there.
More irony. One of my favorite posters there turned out to be one of our regular far far leftists here on P&OC.
Easy to say when it's somebody else's paycheck at risk.
