Strange there was so little focus on the economy from either side.

Quote:
In their only scheduled debate, Gov. Kathy Hochul of New York and her challenger, Representative Lee Zeldin, quarreled intensely on Tuesday over divisive issues such as rising crime and abortion access, while accusing each other of corruption and dangerous extremism.

Mr. Zeldin, who has spent his campaign trying to appeal to voters’ dissatisfaction with the status quo, went on the attack from the get-go, frequently raising his voice as he channeled a sense of outrage, especially around crime. Ms. Hochul, a Buffalo-area Democrat vying for her first full term, took a more measured approach that fit her insistence that the state needs a steady hand to lead it.

Zeldin repeatedly pivoted to crime.

Hochul says abortion is ‘on the ballot.’

Zeldin dances around his ties to Donald Trump.

Questioning Hochul’s ethics.

Only a glancing focus on the economy.

I don't recall that coming up in the debate, I don't think that Zeldin won any points with his connections to Trump and his political views.

To any objective observer, Hochul was terrible in the debate. There are no sound bites she could use in a campaign ad but Zeldin can use her dismissive comment about why does he care so much about crime.

Video of the debate was hard to find if you didn’t have Spectrum TV. I watched some of it on a Fox News youtube channel but now they have essentially made that video private.

You must’ve watched a different debate. A totally different debate.

My point was his connections to Trump, not the entire debate.

What he do after he declares a crime emergency.

The MSNBC viewers/NYT readers are falsely convinced Trump is Satan so any alleged connection to him is a turnoff to all voters and have convinced themselves all women support unrestricted abortions. That explains their peculiar ‘campaigning’ and even more peculiar debating. Not to mention their shock when viewing recent polls. LOL

Zeldin clearly stated he would fire the (liberal) DAs who value the criminals over the victims and disrespect the cops who protect us from the criminals. Normal folks have recognized that crime is a substantial issue in the upcoming election one. Very. Ever since the violent and deadly BLM/Antifa riots repeatedly terrorized NYC. (Understanding MSNBC and NYT minimized the death, violence and destruction but we saw it with our own eyes)

Is that saying the quiet part out loud?

What’s next from NYT? A defense of Fetterman’s performance? (They love that peculiar lib too).
