And things just keep getting worse on Biden's watch under Democrat control.

This explains why Democrats are now claiming things will get worse next year after Republicans win. Democrats now see the horrifc damage their own policies have caused and just how much worse things are about to get, so they want to get ahead of it and blame the other side.

Nearly 40% of small businesses in the US failed to pay rent in October - with more than HALF saying their prices have been hiked at least 10% over the past six months

Maybe we should stop bailing out the corporate sector, and focus on the workers and the small businesses.

I agree. Unfortunately, both left and right favor corporations. That's where all their perks come from.

Under Biden, small businesses are suffering in a big way.

This is what Democrats want. Remember during the pandemic when California shut down small businesses who were serving food, but kept open the massive film industry?

I really wish Democrats would do some actual research on how things work, rather than blindly believing the partisan talking points they are handed.

When you say left, I’m thinking the corporate owned democratic “leftâ€. Because they’re only aesthetically left. Because leftist ideals are detrimental to corporations. Corporations push aesthetically leftist ideals such as inclusion because they expand their consumer base by doing so. They can’t make profits off saying “burn trans peopleâ€. Or saying that gays are an abomination.

But they would never be for actual leftist policies such as higher wages, universal healthcare, more social safety nets. Because it’s detrimental to their profits.

It’s like the commercial where it depicts a BLM protest facing off a wall of cops. But Jenner gives the police a a Pepsi and suddenly everyone gets along. It’s essentially commodification of leftist ideals in the most vague way possible.

Conservatives get mad at their tv, call it “Pepsi going wokeâ€. And Tucker Carlson dedicates an entire segment of it. Poor conservatives fall for it and are distracted as to why their living g conditions are so bad and are now conditioned to blame wokism for their problems.

Leftists roll their eyes at the tv because they know it’s fake.

This is totally predictable, given the lockdowns and soaring inflation. Some small businesses were able to fend off disaster by dipping into savings to keep afloat during the lockdowns, thinking they would recoup the losses at a later time, but inflation was the nail in the coffin. People are cutting back on dining and entertainment and spending in general. And this is the result.

You don't have to listen to talking points to see that both left and right kowtow to corporations. They always have.

The difference being the Democrats used to insist they were the party of the working man, while the Republicans always supported big business. Are you saying the Democrats lied for decades?

Small businesses especially mom and pop have been dying for a long time now. Just that some couple wants to press their luck and try their hand is only reason small mom and pop have not disappeared completely

Also a lot of "small businesses" are actually owned by another company or owner that owns a much larger business or multiple businesses. Those companies, and people have deep pockets or work with bankers that can print as much fiat imaginary currency for them whenever they want.

When these "small businesses" shut down its not that big a deal. The larger parent company, or millionaire/billionaire rolling owner will just start up some more anytime they want.

Multi-families are an example of this. It takes a lot of money to buy a multi-family, and usually LLs dont own just one. But each building is technically a separate business with no more than 3 employees if not less.
