That’s the funniest part of it all. So many of these leftists that they hate are the children of full on conservatives and one of the reasons they went the opposite lol.

The DNC is a **** show and gone off the deep end, but a lot of these Republicans are more vengeance-filled than God Himself.
I get accused of being a liberal simply because I’m willing to call a spade a spade when it comes to some of the stupidity from the GOP, and I didn’t even mention QAnon.

The Democrats are crazy too, but in a different way.

72% of Democrats believe the 2016 election was "changed" by the Russians. AKA stolen from Ms. Clinton, as this is the position Ms. Clinton holds: https://www.rasmussenreports.com/pub..._2016_election

Heck, Ms. Clinton says the 2024 election will be stolen by Republicans: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...-b2210291.html
Yep and let's not forget Hillary Clinton called Tulsi Gabbard a Russian agent for daring not to tow the left Democratic party line lock and step. Hillary Clinton has been one of the most divisive politicians of all

Do you think the 2020 election was stolen or that Obama was born in Kenya, way too many conspiracies are given credit.

The words "changed" and "stolen" have different meanings, yes the 2016 election was influenced by the Russians but there was not a large majority that believe it was stolen. Around 70% of republicans still believe that the 2020 election was stolen.

Few believe that Gabbard was actually a Russian agent, that was just a criticism by Clinton on her pro-Russian comments.

Clinton more divisive than Trump, she actually conceded the 2016 election, not true of Trump in 2020.

I don't mean one-offs. Most people believe at least one conspiracy, a little. I mean people who think everything the "other side" does is a conspiracy.

Historically well-balanced, these days it seems to be a right wing phenomenon at least in the US.

They think the 2020 election was stolen despite every accusation that actually would have made a difference in the outcome being debunked, or just too ridiculous to even consider to begin with.

They think climate change (caused by human activity increasing CO2) is a hoax, despite no real disagreement in the scientific community.

They think EVs are some left-wing attempt at controlling the populace and lining the pockets of "green industry" (which is hilarious if you know ONE THING about the oil industry).

COVID is either not a big deal, to somehow the vaccines kill more people than COVID did.

Most of these and other conspiracies have SOMETHING accurate buried in them, which is then grossly misunderstood and/or blown out of proportion. I'll also acknowledge that sometimes the left (or just experts in the field) can be a bit uppity and often cause people to dig deeper, simply by not approaching the issue correctly. What gets me though, is if you think about just how much collusion would have to happen, how many people would have to be paid or threatened into silence, to make any of these true, it's mind boggling. These people have obviously never tried to get 10 people to agree to do something, let alone millions.

I realize conspiracy theories exist on the political left, too, (often involving military, war, corporations, or GMOs), but they don't dominate like the ones on the right do these days.

If you're wondering, I'm not a liberal. I'm a centrist who leans a bit right, but is no longer a "conservative" considering how crazy the American conservative movement has become.

Final thought. On the subject of climate change. There is a conspiracy going on, but you have to pick which one of these is more likely:

1. Governments and shadow powers worldwide have paid off/threatened 95%+ of scientists to claim that increased CO2 from human activity is warming the planet, in an effort to achieve the "real" goal of worldwide socialism and tyranny. Somehow, the varying goals of different countries' governments has not gotten in the way of keeping this conspiracy alive.

2. Several oil companies have, through both their own efforts and via lobbying politicians, have spent millions (billions?) of dollars over the last 50 years convincing a large percentage of the population that #1 is happening. The vast majority (but not all) of this has been done in one country (the US) and to one political party in that country (the Republicans).

Which of those two is more likely to happen?
Right wingers aren’t usually that educated being rural America and all. Easier to brainwash them. Although I have seen few holding doctorate degrees thinking 2020 was “stolen” which was surprising. But they were married to someone uneducated who watched Fox News whole day and fed the propaganda when they got home.

Beyond all the things happening COVID and the vaccines was a main eye opener. The last three years has shown half the people will be scared into submission or intimidated into silence.

1 If you dared to question it's origin you were cancelled free speech and called a wacko conspiracy theorist.

2 If you dared questioned it all as far as shutting down the country you were called selfish and uncaring and a danger to others,

3 If you dared to question the vaccine 1 and 2 applied again, and people and families turned on each other and powers that be called on people who didn't comply to be shunned from society and turned into 2nd class citizens.

The authoritarian elite don't want people having free speech, they don't want people having critical thinking skills, and most of all they don't want people having the ability to challenge authority. You can also apply that to so many other topics now, say for instance schools. Look how the Teachers unions in step with the left side of the Democratic party has become combative against parents for daring to question what they are teaching the kids.

Or how about Ukraine and Russia right now? If you dare to question the support for Ukraine you are called a Russian agent. You dare not question the leaders of Ukraine motives, you dare not question that we keep sending billions of dollars to Ukraine and ask where is that all actually going to?, you dare not question the fact that the Biden family has dubious financial ties to Ukraine. Western media plain as day reports filtered one sided news of the war.

California passed a law that if a doctor dares to question the validity of the COVID vaccine they can loose their license to practice. It is rather absurd and openly authoritarian for California leftist politicians to enforce that which rightfully opens the question of why are the leftists doing so because they are obviously CONSPIRING for some sort of reason to enact such a authoritarian law that silences and intimidates free thought.

I agree. It's political now and scientists that do speak up suddenly get no funding, don't get picked to work on research projects, etc.

And so, because they want/need their funding, they just keep silent and "go along".
