I went to a 90% White high school. It wasn't as safe as you would think. I speak from what I saw an experienced. The only guarantee is if a kid (of any race) goes to private school.

Looking back, I wish I had been homeschooled throughout ALL of my childhood or put in private school. I hated my high school and my middle school.

For most of my childhood, my mother stayed home and my father worked. I don't think my mother wanted to homeschool. She had to homeschool me for one semester (I was quite young and immature. I was all book and awkward with social skills). I don't think she had the patience.

Depends on where it is. If it was a private school or the kids were mostly upper middle class, demographics wouldn't matter.

My high school had a sizable "redneck" constituency. Let's just say many kids who were of that subculture weren't kind to me.

Personally, if I had children, I would never put them in public schools, regardless of demographics.

You'd be surprised at how many low income parents make it work.

I see it on a daily basis. It can be done if it's a family priority.
