Why was a dead guy on the ballot?
And why are Democrats obsessed with dead people voting, that seems to happen often in elections, dead people casting ballots.

We need to leave the dead out of politics!

This is stuff that Sit-Com storylines are made of, too bad it's real life.

As one possibility as to why. Perhaps he won because the dead people that voted for him felt he was the best person to represent them.

The real reason was that De Luca died after the date that another candidate could be placed on the ballot as a replacement.
