Right, they weren't because he never had them. When asked, he couldn't even remember which foot he supposedly had them on, and at another point the daughters of the doctor who wrote the note laughed and indicated that it was a running joke in the family. That their father wrote the note as a favor to Fred in exchange for direct access to Fred re any office issues (the doctor's office was in a building that Fred Trump owned).
