The country is changing. Voters are wanting to move toward the center.
The center is moving toward the left. The GOP is moving toward the right.
Voters are not wanting to move towards the center(whatever that means). As for the left vs right, these are all arbitrary definitions. People believe what they're told to believe, and the government will continue to switch back and forth between democrats and republicans to keep up the illusion of choice.
If I could make a prediction for the future, the rise of China will create more extremes in the United States. If we don't crush the Chinese now, there won't be an America in 10-20 years.
Recently Trump threatened to release dirt on Desantis if he chooses to run. Given the results last night and the reaction of some conservatives is that the end of Trump? Leaving it yes or no. Maybe doesn't matter.
I think he did. His bully tactics are not welcome. Never were for me, but I’m not everyone. I do think more people are recognizing his real colors, especially when the people he is attacking don’t respond in kind. He needs to retire from public life.
If the voters pivot to DeSantis I could see Trump's next move running as a independent or create a new party just to spite the GOP. He has been a democrat, he has been a republican. He was almost a reform party candidate 20 years ago. Why not form the MAGA party? He may not win but he could ruin things for DeSantis. And reek havoc if he could recruit house and senate candidates for his party.
Read thru my prior post and you find I was the first to say that I would not be surprised if Trumps announcement was to start MAGA as a 3rd party.
Do republicans not have even one intelligent, powerful, polished, articulate candidate?
& more smooth, slippery, multi-faced hypocrite?
