What takes Arizona and Nevada so long to count votes every single year? (interview, elections)

Arizona is very rural and has used mail in ballots well long before drop boxes became a talking points in 2020. This is why I have sided against all the voting rights Arizona and out-of-state Republicans have pressed for. Arizona voting works pretty well, the problem is we have closer races in the past few years causing us to continue to count ballots later and later
Actually Arizona is an urban state. 85% of the population lives in either metro Phoenix or Tucson.
2) The country is very interested in how things are going, because the races may decide very important issues for the country.
That doesn't answer the question asked.

Why not try to improve processes and systems to be as efficient as say, Florida? Remember the issues Florida had with voting back in the day? Imagine if they did not ever work on fixing those? Remember the meltdown Democrats were having over that? Maybe you are too young to remember. I don't know.
That's....... not terribly compelling. They should change how they do business because people indulge in conspiracy theory? Meh, pass.
Who controls the state legislature in Arizona? Republicans. If they want to change how elections are run, they know what to do.
1) They didn't do a large drop at the end of the day yesterday. If they did, I would not have an issue.

There was a drop in both Pima (around 8k), Maricopa (around 62k) and a couple of the rural counties late, These updated generally came in late afternoon and early evening local time.
Arizona has a verification process in place to make sure those who send votes by mail or dropped it off did not also vote on Election Day in person. Those who turned in their ballots earlier are already verified by the time Election Day occurs. Those whose ballots are turned in a bit closer to the Election, have not been verified yet, which is why the ballots that arrive in the last few days prior to the Election or the ones dropped off on Election Day are counted last.

No, it didn't. You must not be paying attention to what my question actually is, as you want to go all conspiracy theory over it.
I do find most leftists don't actually pay attention to what is really being said and what is really happening, but instead just go off on whatever rants they have been fed by their biased media outlets. Bias is human nature I guess.

Ah...thank you. Now THAT is what I was looking for. Very much appreciated. Thank you so much.
No. Smash255 actually provided the answer, but thanks anyways.
Have a wonderful day and enjoy the holidays.
Happy Thanksgiving. Much to be thankful for, with gridlock being the most important thing. I'm thrilled over that, as I am totally against one party rule.

Merry Christmas, as well.
