As long as the Republican party ignores the big cities they will never win national elections again. They need to actually put up candidates and fund them in the inner cities. They need to recruit from those areas to run. And they need to open offices and support in those areas. As long as the democratic party controls cities they will keep winning. The Republican Party has given up on the large cities and thus they make it impossible to win when most of the population lives in the large cities. Those that live there vote what they know. They wont vote for their best interests when the other option isnt interested in them.
Democrats also win the majority-Black areas. Go to Georgia. Democrats won Atlanta, Savannah, Columbus, and Augusta, basically, the majority Black cities. They also won the majority-Black rural areas of southern Georgia. They won alot of majority-minority suburbs in metro Atlanta.
Then explain the middle class and upper middle class voters, who have jobs, that vote Democrat. I don't think they need "free stuff".
The free stuff crowd is part of their base, and these freebies consist of 22% of the general fund (this thread is about cities).
The Dem base consists of the bottom feeders they have created, the victim crowd which includes (black, minorities, women, teachers) really any group they can coerce into being a victim, and then the elite, or those who classify as elite enjoying their penthouse views.
Cheap/free/easy abortions, lax/no punishment for crimes, strict gun laws that prevent citizens from defending themselves, exorbitant taxation, shoddy services, toxic tapwater…just a few off the top of my head
All of the above is okay as long as the person in office has a (D) next to their name.

Both sides tends to announce the demise of the other side, falling to understand the American voter is fickle and will always keep changing leadership.
Republicans need to abandon the black vote COMPLETELY and go ALL IN on the Latino vote. They match up much better with Republicans and there are way more Latinos than blacks.

Just surround them and starve them of funding until they change.
Republican are losing because they are running **** candidates.
Add to that their message only resonates with a limited amount of people.
The American people are tired of them constantly playing the victim.
Ron De Sanctimonious is not going to be the answer. Trump put him on the map and Trump can and will spin him like a yoyo. I can't see any blue collar workers supporting him on a national stage. The guy is another angry know it all spewing hyperbole, the American people can see right through it.
What if the big cities bleed residents? Like Detroit and Cleveland? Do gangbangers, and homeless drug addicts vote?
