Anyone trying to deny what went on there just has no interest in being truthful. Period. Was it an armed insurrection? No. Was it a criminal riot composed of morons who need to go to jail? Yes, most definitely. Would be if it were Dems and libs that did it, is also when conservative Reps do it. People who cant see this live in some sort of alternate reality .
It’s always some huge hyperbole with these guys.
Comparing j6 to the Spanish Inquisition is actually hysterical and makes me want to break in to that Monty python song because it laughable.
And they wonder why no sympathizes for their terrible plight. They did nothing wrong and everyone is after them because they are jealous because they have all the money (just like the Jews in the Spanish Inquisition - cliff note version) They actually think we hate them because they are better and we need to get rid of the competition. Now if that not laughable. I don’t know what is.

Yet when you compare the punishment the J6 nitwits received with the punishment inner city thugs who do far worse EVERY day get, it becomes damn clear that it IS an inquisition. And the punishment IS being doled out as an "example" just as it was with the modeled Spanish Inquisition, or Portuguese Inquisition. If the inquisitors could get away with burning these folks at the stake, they damn well would do it. Again, as an example.

If you are going to whine about "crimes need to be punished" then fine, I agree. But the severity of the crime needs to taken into account. You don't give some idiot twenty years of hard labor in a maximum security federal prison because he spit on Queen Pelosi's carpet, while at the same time letting an inner city thug that just murdered someone walk free ten minutes later after being "processed." That's bull****. And in doing so, it is a CLEAR indicator that what is going on with the J6 thing is DAMN SURE an inquisition and double standard.

A trespasser is nearly NEVER arrested, let alone even getting a warning from a cop. Walk onto a park after curfew and tell me that you are locked in prison for thirty years for doing it. If you can do that, I'll concede that you have a point and I'll admit I'm wrong.

BTW, it's too bad you are not so fanatical about punishing the worthless trash that burned our cities down a couple summers ago. There was an incident in a city just a few miles from me. Cars turned over, people assaulted, fires, looting, etc. So I guess I can understand how you feel, because I would like to have seen the people who did that hanged from trees on the spot that night. But then I care more about the safety and livelihood of the common serf out in anytown, America than I do a bunch of would-be kings and queens in their castle.

What is really disturbing though, is you actually want to see part of our Government fail, and will enjoy it. Unreal.
After all the years of the right demonizing Pelosi, to watch them attempt to do what she did so, so well will be fun. It's not an easy job, as they are about to find out. I doubt any of her critics will do half as well.

And their incompetence won't cause the government to fail, they will simply be inept and unproductive.

Fine th n speak the truth
It’s her competence that scares you, not her dementia or her plastic surgery or her being a drunk.
I hate to say it but it so misogynistic. Hate her for what she stands for and for being so damn good.
I hate Mitch McConnell ( well not really hate, I don’t hate anyone) but I don’t attack him for being old or stupid. I attack him for his unethical choices and decisions and for not stopping a Terrible leader when he had the chance.

G-Dammit the count isn't finished. The GOP is still stalled at 212 and the dems keep creeping up. Pardon me for not believing a single republican pollster or member of the media anymore. Those chumps couldn't predict a f@rt after a baked bean dinner. "The Red Wave!!" What a face plant. So no ... not believing this assumption they're still confidently floating about how republicans have taken the house. Done deal. Take it to the bank. ... Screw that, pay me.

First off, you are dealing with different court systems. Many,if not most crimes are dealt with in non federal courts. Attacking the US capitol is dealt with in federal courts. So different rules. To complain that NY isnt sending murderers to jail has zero to do with a riot on federal property . Now, if you want to make the case that all serious crime everywhere should go to the feds, be my guest. I doubt you will find many conservative "states rights' folks supporting this idea.

Second, an attack upon the institution of government is considered more serious than an attack on a random individual. Whether one agrees with this or not, thats the way it is. Even killing a cop, or a Senator or Rep , is more serious than killing Joe Blow , because of the fact that in most cases the crime is a crime against the government, with the victim just being the unlucky recipient of the anti government crime.

Third, you have zero idea how fanatical or not I am about punishing rioters. Why not remain adult like and not go to stupid ideas you have no support for? All you know about my views are that I consider 1/6 to be a serious matter. You know nothing about any other criminal views I hold.

This current House was actually quite productive. The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, For the People Act of 2021, John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2021, Equality Act of 2021, American Dream and Promise Act of 2021, Paycheck Fairness Act, Bipartisan Background Check Act, FedRAMP Authorization Act, Rural STEM Education Research Act, to name but a few.

All told, the 117th House has so far enacted 213 public laws. That's not an unproductive House by any stretch of the imagination. It's been highly productive, in fact. The 118th has big shoes to fill.

Oh yeah, everything is all good. The best administration ever.

Most polls showed Republicans up on the generic congressional ballot by 2%. They are currently up over 4%, the spread will go down a bit, but the Republicans won the generic ballot as the polls predicted.
