UNM, clinic settle for $1.26M in abortion death
https://www.abqjournal.com/2497307/u...7I-Zj7s5PGdvIE

The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center and a private late-term abortion clinic in Albuquerque agreed to pay her estate a total of $1.26 million in exchange for the dismissal of a politically charged wrongful death/medical malpractice lawsuit.

New Mexico permits elective abortions at any phase of a pregnancy. Keisha Atkins was 6 months pregnant, seeking an elective abortion. No medical issues were noted, either for her or the baby. No reason for the abortion was noted or why she sought one at 6 months pregnant, instead of earlier.

Her life was worth $1.26 million. Her baby's life? Was worth nothing.

Most mothers that far along fight to save the baby's life. At that age the baby has a chance to survive if born prematurely.

You wanna know how to get the democrat royalty to turn against abortion immediately? Just offer two votes to pregnant democrat women.

No... I wouldn't support this measure at all. But that would be the end of the squawking about "women's right to her body" sort of stuff. The dem apparatus would turn against the "pro choice" folks so fast it would make your head spin like Linda's did in "The Exorcist."

Very sad. Many women die of embolisms brought about by pregnancy, as well as various other maladies that strike pregnant women. It's a fairly dangerous phase of life.

new mexico's looney governor, michelle wuhan-lujan-grisham, wants to position abortion clinics as close to the TX border as possible so more women can enjoy a 6 month abortion.

There were no medical issues listed when she presented for the abortion. She died from the abortion. Not from the pregnancy.

The baby was already dead from the toxin injected into it's baby heart. It was AFTER the baby's heart was injected that she began to have issues.

The lawsuit filed by Atkins’ mother and sister alleged clinic providers failed to identify, diagnose and provide care for the young woman after she showed signs of sepsis two days into a medical induction abortion procedure.

Yes, as I said, very sad. Just as sad as the many, many women who die during pregnancy at any stage, especially in the USA, which has a bad track record for maternal mortality.

Considering that they tried to get her death categorized as due to pregnancy -- not from a septic abortion -- sheds some light on the poor data collection with last term abortions.

Maybe those "maternal deaths from pregnancy" are really from abortions. Like this one was.
