We know a lot of people voted red for the first time because they or someone they know were badly damaged by - losing a job because of jab mandates or the recession / depression, the vaccines, businesses, schools, daycares, and other kids activities being shutdown, inflation, and WW3.

Also if you voted red for the first time this year, did your candidate win?

Didn't schools and daycares close down in 2020? Which party was in power then? I can't remember.

I never vote straight ticket. It all depends on the individualand the issues that are important to me at the time.

Not the first year and not the last either. Again - the group that predicted a big red wave coming and that people who vote blue were suddenly going to go red was duly misinformed.

And no, I voted for a republican governor and he did not win. And my life will go on.

I voted red in 2008 and 2012 when there was principled Republicans running. In fact I would have voted McCain in 2016 for Senate, then I remembered he was in Senate longer than I was alive. That said, I voted for Maricopa County Republicans.

well in NJ it was right winger Phil Murphy who closed schools, businesses, mask mandates…but we were all safe from a virus because of him. i can’t figure out what was safer, keeping schools closed or keeping us safe. which party kept us safe??

Same here, I have voted for Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians and Independents. Many of my candidates have won, and many have lost. Lately it's hard times for a centrist.
