can't afford to lose even one 'migrant', no matter that they broke laws that were in force at the time.

better hire some private jets at taxpayer expense to get em back here asap.

House Democrats ask Biden to reopen cases of migrants deported for marijuana-related offenses

A group of nine House Democrats on Monday asked President Biden to reopen the immigration cases of migrants who were deported for marijuana-related offenses.

The lawmakers lauded the White House announcement last month that Biden will pardon federal marijuana possession convictions, a move that will affect thousands and has been celebrated as a step toward addressing racial disparities in drug arrests and enforcement.

The letter sent to the WH which quotes 45,000 immigrants (no clarification as to legal vs illegal immigrants) deported between 2003 and 2018.

You beat me to it.

I don't have an issue with taking steps toward addressing racial disparities in drug arrests and enforcement. If that's even a thing, and I don't know that it is, but if it is, I am fine with that. And I am fine with pardoning some who's offenses were not really that serious, but were handed overly stiff penalties b/c of the whole 'War On Drugs' 70's thing.

But those pardons should be handed down only to legal citizens of the USA - not people who came here illegally. Most of whom are gang members, and MS-13 members.

Of course! Sad to see how Democrats prioritize foreign nationals over actual US citizens.

And they tell us that the border is not open.
