Do people even have an elementary understanding of US politics? Rupublicans just flipped the house. That effectively makes Biden a lame duck. What's this BS narrative that republicans got routed?

I'd have rather they won the Senate where they have the ability to be a check on Biden's legislative agenda AND have some input on his executive and particularly judicial appointments which can have law and policy impacts well beyond his presidency. Winning the House gives them the opportunity to do the former but not the latter.

Winning the Senate was better, and everyone expected them to also. But what happened was weak. what do you expect in 2024 then?

They won but only by a field goal instead of 4 touchdowns as was predicted.

The Senate map looks much better for Republicans in 2024 than 2022.

Were there people who said the Republicans didn't win?

I think the criticism was about the "red wave". Weak President, poor economy, and whatever else - the Republicans should have cleaned house and didn't.

Hopefully they learned from this and what baggage they need to get rid of (cough cough Trump).

You take what you can get. Imagine if the Democrats keep the House.

End of Days.

Rinos won. Margin is too slim for a republican win.

One hyper rino is already looking for how much they can get to vote for a dem speaker.

I agree, but you are going to be lambasted by forum Democrats for that comment. INCOMING! You are in for it now, buddy! You need a Nomex suit, a flack jacket, and steel plate armor.

You in a heap o' trouble boy.
