You should care about his election denial crap. You want to stay the heck away from powerful people who overstay their welcome. A lot of dictators from the 20th century were elected by the people and refused to leave office. Not accepting a fair loss is absolutely toxic.
If they do this and unsuccessfully, you probably gave Trump a second term. The best course of action is just to ignore him and let him fizzle out under his own craziness

David Cicilline, a Rhode Island Democrat who served as a House manager for the second Trump impeachment, is circulating legislation that would seek to bar Donald Trump from holding federal office again under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment -- language meant to block former Confederates from serving in Congress and regaining power.
"'Under Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, "No person shall ... hold any office, civil or military, under the United States ... who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States .. to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof,'" he writes in his letter to colleagues, citing the relevant amendment.

I dont think the Pubs have a unified plan on how to deal with Trump just yet. Pull the plug on his funding is what they need to do, but it must be done quietly, & behind the scenes to avoid losing too many Trump supporters.
Trump's only hope is to adopt a platform of:
-deep fiscal constraint
-cleaning up the DC fed agencies
-implementing immigration reform
-eliminating censorship from social media
-bringing manufacturing back (which is already underway)
-mandating school choice
-increasing competition in healthcare to reduce costs & improve quality
& bringing Americans together again around these platform principals that the majority agrees with.
