I'm sick and tired of the double standard. Why are democrats allowed to go on offense and pursue witch hunts on their political opponents, but when Republicans try to teach them a lesson and bite back, it's automatic deflection to "muh solutions!!! "
The republicans have been criticizing the Biden administration for high inflation, gas prices, violence and immigration on a daily basis. They don't have a solution, they don't even have a proposal. It's always convenient to claim your party has solutions, that's exactly what McCarthy did, but I have yet to hear anything. Much easier to stir the base telling them they are going to get Joe Biden.

Okay but who started this "stirring the base" and launching investigation after investigation? I recall in 2018 it was the party with the foul mouthed member who explicitly said "we're gonna impeach the mother***ker" despite having no evidence of any impeachable offense.

If the repubs play the "good guys" as you want them to, the dems will continue to do the same thing whenever they take the house. You have to give them a taste of their own medicine otherwise you're permanently on defense. The republican base WANTS them to go on offense because they're tired of having to play the gentlemen when the dems play the bully.
