Thank You Judge!

Someone who actually believes in the first amendment and the American constitution something which American hater DeSantis certainly doesn't understand.

DeSantis is a anti free speech and pro Big Government fiend who really needs to go to some where's like Venezuela.

I thought anti-discrimination was a liberal policy

looks like a damn good anti-discrimination law to me.
The Left has redefined discrimination such that it isn't possible to discriminate against whites. They literally believe this and then wonder why they are accused of being afflicted with cognitive dissonance.

Again. Free speech, like all rights, is subject to restrictions. You never answered my previous question: If they were teaching hatred of Blacks, would you still think free speech applies? I know the answer and so do you. And it makes CRT advocates hypocrites.

Plus no one is free to yell "fire" in a theater. Teaching kids that whites are racist is about the same thing, it's basically a hate crime? It will cause psychological harm to kids at the least, and can cause public outrage and disorder.

It's one thing to teach about racism, but CRT doesn't do only that.

Do you know what those restrictions are? Remember, the judge here stopped the law in its tracks -- this is not an opinion after trial. If you read it, he found the harm to free speech rights of the professors much more of an issue.

Free speech restrictions have to do with immediate harm of individuals hearing the speech, such as the famous shouting fire in a theater or, in a SCOTUS case, cussing out in public when a boat sank. Stating a truism that 'all rights have restrictions' doesn't deal with the reasons for any restrictions. Prior restraints on speech always have a heavy burden to be found to be constitutional.

That's because the answer is obvious. Hasn't the ACLU represented Klan members as to free speech? That's the difference between it and the ADF 'major law firm or the Thomas More Society. Free speech is for all.

Yes, free speech applies.

I wish that were true, but the fact is that even SCOTUS has ruled that there are restrictions on free speech. While "hate speech" is legal, the Left has found ways to punish it via intertwining it with other laws. For example, if a white man beats a Black man while using racial slurs, he will likely be charged with a hate crime. Ideally, the notion of a hate crime should be illegal, but for now, hate crimes are thing and are closely tied to hate speech. Furthermore, despite what the law says, I will wager vital body parts that if schools adopted a curriculum in which Blacks were vilified, it would be shut down immediately. It's a double standard, which is a defining characteristic of modern leftist ideology.

https://lawandcrime.com/first-amendm...s-mouthpieces/

Walker 'Twists' the meaning of the Act by saying
"According to the text of the law, “[i]t shall constitute discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, or sex under this section to subject any student or employee to training or instruction that espouses, promotes, advances, inculcates, or compels such student or employee to believe” ...
???

Deliberate Obfuscation by Liberal Judge...

Judge is saying 'School Curriculum should be allowed to teach and promote race superiority as well as inferiority'----the Exact Opposite of what the Bill was designed to protect against.

The Citizens of Florida will not put up with Leftoid Teaching principles to our Kids...we are the Majority in our State~!

Thoughts / Comments ?
Although some people may want Florida to secede, people are residents of Florida, not citizens of Florida.

People are citizens of the United States and other countries.

CRT is not being taught in elementary schools. The parents who are complaining about it being taught in their kids' third grade classrooms are butthurt that there are Black characters in their books or that it no longer says Christopher Columbus "discovered" America. This has precisely zero to do with critical race theory, which is not an appropriate subject for children, since it would require someone being able to comprehend advanced topics and create their own thoughts on the matter.

CRT IS being taught in some universities. It's a class for people who have fully formed brains and who are learning critical thought as it pertains to race in the history of the United States. This bill was trying to prevent adults from learning these important topics in COLLEGE.

DeSantis is very good at riling up the Trump-following crowd. You know, the ones who wave Let's Go Brandon flags and "don't believe in pronouns." He's a smart guy and knows how to play into people's paranoias, fears, and general gullibility. Make no mistake, he's not a moron who believes half the nonsense he spews. He's just looking for votes from the most ignorant.
