The Democrats keep bringing up reparations for blacks due to slavery, even though Dems owned slaves, blacks owned slaves, African natons rounded up and sold slaves, & Dems fought against the repeal of slavery.

and....

...Dems rounded up Native Americans during the "trail of tears" and put them in confinement camps in Oklahoma.

The Republican party had not yet been founded when that transpired.

So, let us start by fining Dems for what they did to our proud Native Americans first, then we can discuss what they did to the African slaves here afterwards.

Their hypocrisy smells like rotting eggs.

I'm against reparations but I sure don't base my politics, support of policy, and voting ballot on what a certain political party did almost 200 years ago.

Policies of the current members of the party.

I couldn't care less what people did in the early 1800s, what an asinine reason to make voting decisions today.

So they are going to force people who never owned slaves to pay up so they can give that money to people who never were slaves ?

And then what ? Is this a 1 time payoff or are there more future installments because, you know, the hardship suffered knows no bounds.

I guess ..in Bizarro World nothing makes sense to me.

I agree, I'm more worried about what they are doing today and plan on doing in the future.

Neither need nor deserve reparations. They have the same opportunities as everybody else. If they want to live in squalor and claim victimhood, that's on them, not us.

Sorry as I'm far from PC so if either wants to go back to living in a Teepee or return to some poor African village, they are welcome to it. But let it be known that everybody has the opportunity to move up.

I don't owe them crap!

They are and our politicians seem willing to pay them for what happened to other people over 160 years ago.

Makes no sense whatsoever.

Same thing applies to the Amerindians. Whom of those of us alive today had anything to do with that long ago past?

I want reparations for whites for how we are currently being treated. The double standards and attacks on whites by media, academia, and government, and others warrant this.

I would accept a monthly check for $5K until the double standards cease.

(This is not a joke) :-)
