Look at that pic again!!

There is ONE PERSON between him and the black students.

What do you want done to him Clara? What would be JUSTICE in your mind right now, today, in 2022?

You're obviously looking at the wrong person.

Here's the photo, in Sports Illustrated Twitter.

His head is circled.

Walk him forward, and you only have to go through ONE person to get to the two black students in the foreground of the picture.

I'm guessing the spectacle and cameras brought most of those kids out. Exactly like it would today only they'd all be doing the filming.

I also notice he's "one person away" from the very back of the crowed too. What your point.

I would like honesty. It seems like he's basically saying he saw a crowd gathered and was curious about what the interest was.

It actually would be interesting, to hear his take on this, his perspective, and why he was there front and center with the young men shouting ugly racial slurs while these vulnerable students were escorted in.

Maybe a story of how originally he hated them, but an anecdote about something that might have changed his mind. Or an admission that frankly, they had no idea the hell they were putting these other young men through.

Honesty is always nice.

Put on your glasses. There is a very short kid with dark brown hair in front of him and in front of that guy is a reporter filming. So he's "leading" from behind some little kid and a reporter.

Ok. Two people. Two people between him and the young black men.

If you go one direction or the other, all you encounter is one person between him and them.

He was not "in the back of a large crowd", at all.

I think it is telling that so many defenders of Jones can’t find the decency to condemn his actions. It is abhorrent that people justify, accept, or otherwise don’t criticize him because “the country looked much different at that time” or “he was only 15” or “he was there because he was curious”. He was 15…certainly old enough to know what he was doing, and oppressing people because if the color of their skin was wrong then just as it is now. He behaved badly and it shouldn’t be excused. People change and he may very well be a different person now than he was then. But watching people here make excuses for him when he was 15 is very disappointing.

I'm 64, I'm not going to be able to give you or anyone else details on a photo of me doing ANYTHING when i was 15. Don't be ridiculous, you want a hollywood movie script and frankly your curiosity doesn't need to be satisfied by anyone.
