Good thing I don't buy much of anything from these brands. Some of those companies produce products that are demonstrably bad for the American public and are having a negative impact on our health, well being, etc. I don't trust corporate America much more than I trust the Obiden abomination.
Businesses do not want to be associated with extreme rhetoric and ideas, or blatant misinformation, and generally avoid it when possible. They also aren’t fond of advertising platforms that are under government oversight, in shaky financial condition, or run by wildly unpredictable leadership.
When Musk straightens all that out, advertisers will start returning.

Not sure if it is about free speech as you feel...but it could be a business decision.
Musk is an unknown and, quite honestly, his actions the first month have been a bit erratic. Companies want to maximize their marketing dollars. Waiting for things to settle, for the Twitter feed demographics to settle, is not some protest against Musk buying and more about the uncertainty. I'm sure some made moral decisions as well...but few businesses will cut their ability to make money just because they are making a statement. They usually make a statement to bump up their profits.
I don't think they think it is extreme rhetoric at all.. They are saying -- we hav eno clue what there is...for now we'll suspend spending money and let things settle.
But conservatives have a real problem when companies make decisions based on money. They always seem to suggest corporations are in business to make statements.
My thoughts precisely. I only use 1 of this lists products/services...Wells Fargo for my company's checking account, but now I'll consider switching.
This perfectly reveals the evil unholy alliance between our federal government, and many in the Fortune 500....& their alliance is meant to soak all of us of our labor, savings, & freedoms.
I'd like to see a list of companies that are or who plan to advertise on Twitter now & in the future...I'll buy from them.
