Twitter traffic is higher than ever, so you are wrong on both counts.
I notice the ones saying this typically very pro-Musk. But the problem is, Twitter is private and can make any claim they want. Is Twitter traffic higher? I seriously question that.

It used be that when I looked at my feed, every post was different, there was a ton going on. Now, I see the same tweets repeated as if much less conversation is happening. I would be curious if that is what they are doing to "increase traffic" but it's very obvious when you see the same tweets repeated.

I'm not sure about shrink, but IMO that's where the $'s are.

He's put rockets into space, encircled the earth with WiFi, built the first successful all-electric car company and in what, just a few weeks, has already substantially increased the user base of Twitter while reducing the latency on a full page load by nearly half a second.

What have you done?
Fire you need a dad who owns an Emerald mine. Then you need government subsidies.

And then you use the money to pay actual engineers to do the actual work. Over work and underpay them, and then you take all the credit.

Now you are Elon Musk.

Are you saying you buy used cars, houses, machinery, and existing companies without fully inspecting them first?
I'm saying that the absurdity of your claim is self-evident.

No, Twitter can't make any claim they want. They charge for advertising based on the number of active users. If false data was published, it'd be fraud.

And why would you question that, anyway? The people who said they'd leave didn't, of course, and the press the deal has gotten is insane. I'd question it if they said that they hadn't seen an increase.

Everyone knows (now, not so much 30 years ago) that Tesla was a much more brilliant scientist than Edison, yet Tesla died a pauper and Edison became wealthy.

Business sense is its own skill. A lot of talented people start with a proverbial emerald mine and still end up like Hunter Biden, because they lack business sense.

The entire twitter situation is showing that Elon just got lucky.

He has no business sense.

You underestimate the number of liberal media outlets who depend on Twitter to get their news out.

Instagram, Facebook, telegram, tik tok, etc don’t cut it. They need Twitter.

Lefties are all having a nutty now that Elon is showing us what was behind the curtain.

Guess what? It's what we all have been saying all along. Yet another "conspiracy theory" comes true.
