What an odd thing to say. Without the planet there would be no people. So it’s in our best interest to save our planet.

Anyone else with me on this?
Now you’re into socialism?

Lots of rich farmland there. I’d rather they do whatever it takes to get back what is rightfully theirs. Where are the UN troops?

Wouldn't the sensible option be to become more self sufficient in terms of agriculture rather than rely on imported food, that often travels thousands of miles on container ship, which are responsible for a lot of pollution and contribute to environmental problems.

Increasing local farms and community led schemes in relation to allotments, make much more sense than closing farms and relying on imported food.

It also should be noted that there is a national security element to being self sufficient and not relaying on others, as Britain found out during WW2, when it was surrounded by German U-Boats.

I find this kind of policy sinister, and the lack of accountability in terms of the EU policy makers is deeply concerning.

Dutch farmers are the most productive (volume by acre) in the world, and work reclaimed land that would normally be unproductive. Their techniques are the best.
