Fine by me.... again, live and let live is a two way street.

I can can always go to another state if I want...(that's the whole 2 way thing in action).

And before you retort that not everyone can do that.......

I don't care.

The concept of states rights doesn't guarantee everyone in all states freedoms that are not in the Constitution.

Who are "they"? If you're referring to LGBTQ folks, a lot of us are Christians, including myself.

It wouldn't bother you if you were already married in that state and the change of rule has now nullified your marriage?

Oh, so the number has been updated. Thank you. Low by a lot? Hardly.

There are 33 million households with kids in the US. (Global Data Nov 2022) So out of that 33 million households ... there are 161,000 LGBTQ households with kids.

Do the math. It's an incredibly minuscule segment of the population. 0.004% That's it.

But I bet most posters would have guessed that about 25% of kids were being raised by gay parents.

Just like the poll where Americans think 25% of the entire population is gay. They've all been indoctrinated. They don't understand the reality around them.

Not everyone in all States will have the same rights, but all people in a State should have the same rights.

And so? The minority shouldn’t have the same rights afforded to the majority? They should be marginalized and ignored because of math?

LGBTQ do not want to blend in.

Historically, yes, they did. Wanted to be treated like everyone else, blend in, didn't want attention.

Not so today. That was my point. They do not want to be included without acknowledgment or special treatment.

Why are you arguing hypotheticals that aren't ever going to happen and aren't analogous to the situation at hand anyways?

I am not arguing just asking questions. It's called a discussion. Leaving it to the states at this point is the hypothetical and that was you that brought it up.

They blended in because they were attacked and criminally prosecuted if they didn’t. If they hadn’t insisted on acknowledgement at the State/Federal level, they’d still be hiding to avoid persecution/prosecution.
