When you mentioned "fabbed," I would not be surprised if some here thought you were referring to The Beatles.

Depends how you define "just fine".
Sure our standards of living have improved from lowering the cost of goods created overseas, but we've outsourced all of our manufacturing. Corporations and wealthy raked in massive profits and kept it mostly to themselves.

We took a short term gain (including huge gains for the 1%) for long term pain.

The security concerns is what is driving the Biden administration.

Remember when the imported Maxtor hard drives had malicious firmware installed ?
That was over 10 years ago and no big fluster over that one.

A chip manufacturer creates a silicon wafer with multiple chips on it.
Then, it sends the wafer to cut, test, and package to another factory. This process can cost a lot.

Few Japanese and European companies produce equipment for manufacturing silicon wafers. That's why it's expensive.

Once, the Chinese learn to produce cheaper (much cheaper) equipment, it will change everything.

Said company had to consult with DOD and CIA on the transfer which was then approved by the Obama administration. The week that Trump took office that IP transfer was halted. Not good for said company's bottom line but good for America.
...then Obama bought a $11.75M mansion on Martha's Vinyard...after earning <$5M in his political career.

Book deals are a farce....money laundering. Obama sold us out to the Chicoms, but other have too.

Chicoms bought millions of acres of farmlands, and America's largest pork producer under Obama..Smithfield Meats.

Pubs are dirty too, so relax Libs....both sides are dirty...they are both selling us all out for their own gains.
