The fall in gas prices foreshadows recession. We saw those fears today (12-15-22) in the DJI plunging 700+ points.

We are in for tough economic times ahead...as a result of fed gov't inflicted inflation thrust upon the World by fed gov't created Covid-19, and its terrible response to it.

I'm not sure if its all been done on purpose, or if they are just corrupt, & inept.

Glad I've got a large nest egg, no debt, & lots of hard assets.

Gas prices plunging hurts EV sales too, so Biden's shot himself in the foot....again.

Plunged? It’s $3.39 where I live outside Boston. Over a dollar more per gallon when Trump left office.

Blame California environmentalist politicians for creating the system where the refiners have the state by the nads.

Like with Enron. They found a way to profit from California's stupidity and they did it. Can you blame them? Corporations do what corporations do. It's the state's job to protect the residents from profiteers.

California fails at its primary responsibilities every time.

Of course demand for oil is dropping world-wide. We are descending into a very bad global recession, possibly even a global depression. Closing the world's economies was always going to have a MASSIVE negative impact and every government on Earth tried some version of spending their way out of it, but alas..., that only led to global inflation and then the war in Ukraine, and 3 continuous years of "Sorry, we can't help you, blame COVID," and the spending continues, and people refuse to return to work, and on, and on....

This economic downturn is going to be very, very bad. Like 1930's bad or worse. It's coming and nobody can stop it. It's too late.

Ancient history...who cares...that was then and this is now, & now matters 100x more.

Why not go back to Jimmy Carter and long gas lines, since you are bringing up ancient history?

I sense a partisan agenda in play Jay.

Plunge? No.

It's still over $3 here, not $1.75 like it was before Biden.

Dems aren't wiggling out of this one with words like "plunge" (when it hasn't), or claims that the "gas prices are lower now, why aren't you giving Biden credit?"

1) Because of his E.O. on day 1.

2) Because of his continued fight against U.S. drilling.

3) Because he blamed everyone but himself, but wants credit when it goes down 2 whole cents.

4) Because he's draining the reserves.

5) Because it's still almost double what I paid before that pos slithered into the Oval office.

Give me back all the extra money I've had to spend over the last 2 years because of that crusty old twit, bring the prices back down to where they were, stop screwing around with the oil companies, refill those reserves, STOP SENDING MONEY TO EVERYONE ELSE, close the damn border, and then....only then...will I give that useless trash any type of credit.

So...you want lockdowns again? Because that's what made it fall to those levels.
