Any bets the Supreme Court will allow this to go through, to help take the stigma off them for shutting down Roe vs Wade?

Honestly, I don't agree with this. You pay your debts. But I admit I haven't been following this closely so I have no idea who's eligible. State colleges are reasonable if you commute from home and go to community college first to get gen ed requirements. Off campus housing costs just as much as tuition which student loans go towards.

I am confused. Did you mean, your loans will be paid off before then? They can't be forgiven if SCOTUS shoots that down as unconstitutional.

It is just a question of, if the 3 liberals and Roberts can peel off one of the weaker conservatives. It is just down to how they interpret the law. Kavanaugh and Coney-Barrett are not activists. It is just down to their honest interpretation of the law.

Roberts always sides with the liberals when the cases are important to a democratic president, like he did when calling Obamacare a tax when the arguments were that it was not a tax.

If the five conservatives hold together, Roberts could make it 6-3 to keep up his conservative pretense.

The day of the election, everyone knew that this matter was up to the Supreme Court....so why would they vote for Joe.......his scheme will most likely be thrown out by SCOTUS.
Some might have known, but many, probably, only heard loan forgiveness and that's it.....

I have never heard of the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, where working for a qualifying government agency eliminates your loan balance after 10 years.

10 years is a long time to work for the government if you are only doing it for the PSLF benefit, but that would be a good way to minimize paying back a really large loan balance.

You lucked out with payment deferral because it is forgiven on the back end. Better lucky than good.

It's not the lenders that are predatory, it is the schools that are predatory. How many former students both graduates and drop outs, had to pay for classes or entire degree programs that did not end up adding value to their lives?

If more education is needed for the average American, add a year or two to high school and end this scam of promoting college for all.

College has changed from service providers to a money making industry.
