CDC Director Rochelle Walensky resigns

Rochelle Walensky, head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is leaving the public health agency, the White House announced on Friday.

...
Walensky submitted her resignation on Friday, saying that the waning of the COVID-19 pandemic provided a good time for a transition, The Associated Press reported. Officials said she will remain in her role until June 30.

...
News of Walensky’s resignation came hours after the World Health Organization declared an end to COVID-19 as a global public health emergency

I would say good riddance - but they will probably replace her with someone just as bad if not worse.

Mayor Pete has zero qualifications, so I’m sure he’ll get it.

it's going to take a lot more than that to get millions of Americans to ever trust the CDC again.

Yeah, remember when they tried to scare us about Monkey Pox? errr "M Pox".

Gee, what does the "M" stand for? Could it be MONKEY?!

Or what about RSV? Again no threat.

That's why those with stink to their names are leaving.

Our "beloved" governor Insley also bailed, won't run anymore. That's a major sign.
The Royal Liar Fauci is bailing.
Snowball on the slope is building up.

Replacements must have only one qualification. Nothing to do with education or experience.

I can only imagine it was a tremendously difficult challenge trying to manage the department response to a worldwide pandemic, while simultaneously dealing with the irrational anti-vaccine crowd and Trump apologists. Good luck to Dr. Walensky in her future endeavors.
