Good luck with trying to enforce that stupidity.

Some people never seem to learn from history, repeating the same mistakes over and over.

Los Angeles County could re-introduce its mask mandate, health officials said Thursday.

Los Angeles County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer said required masking indoors could come back if the county reaches the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) high transmission rates and hospital bed occupancy categories.

"If both hospitalization indicators, new COVID-19 admissions and the proportion of staffed in-patient beds occupied by COVID patients, surpass the threshold for high, LA County will return to universal indoor masking," she said.

Know more people NOW getting COVID then back in 29020. Most are vaccinated to some degree. (all kinds of political affiliations here -- mainly conservative).

The level of feeling sick is varied. Many just cold symptoms, others -- out for a week and feeling awful.

No hospitalizations.....YEAH!!!!

Not worried about getting it...but don't want to get it right now as we have visitors coming in from out of town.

Stuck on stupid.

California. Not the land of the free. Not the home of the brave.

I don't miss you. Every day I don't miss you, since moving to Tennessee. Every single day. Well, OK those 2 days I really yearned to go to South Lake Tahoe, BUT EVERY OTHER DAY, I did not miss you.

Meanwhile, the Smoky Mountains are wonderful this time of year. Been going a lot. And so close. I was 2 hours solid to Tahoe. I can be in Cade's Cove in an hour.

FWIW, my Tennessee church has a section just for people wearing masks. There were like a dozen old people there the last mass, and not all of them wearing masks. The rest of the church, packed.

Also notice, it is never about death rates. It hasn't been about deaths since the first major wave. After that it was all "well, cases are up". Guess what, cases of influenza are up too.

Notice also nobody mentions ICU - just "in-patient beds". Heaven forbid you spend a day or two in a hospital bed as a precaution.

Power mad tyrants.

They have to make it seem like big tax and spend government has the public interest in mind. And in order fully sell the first round of mask mandates they have to make it seem normal when numbers go up.

If anyone follows the commands of that stupid, irresponsible woman again, there is no hope for Los Angeles. But I don't think it will be so easy this time.

She is not an expert in anything and her MPH doesn't in any way qualify her to give medical advice or make decisions regarding public health.

She's an administrator and new laws need to be passed to strip these people of the immense power they have.

Even when study after study shows that those cloth masks do next to nothing to prevent infection, and actually cause more health problem that are associated with mask wearing.

Wearing the same N95 mask for 4-8 hours will not do anything to prevent infection either.

"As one doctor told me, 'If you can wear an N95 for more than about 30 minutes you are wearing it wrong,'" tweeted George Mason University law professor Todd Zywicki, who successfully challenged GMU's COVID vaccine mandate in court.

but then again, we are talking about the anti-science left, which routinely disregard science in order to enforce their draconian policies against the population.

Los Angeles County may reimpose indoor mask mandate if COVID transmissions climb

Because all that other mask wearing worked out so well the other times they mandated it???

I would LOVE to see this happen — Los Angeles County is majority Democrat, so they deserve to have to endure these non science-based restrictions for another season.
