The poster said it’s time for our country to move on and stop obsessing with him. Except folks can’t stop obsessing over him, yet folks can’t take their own advice. It’s easy to look away, it simply takes some restraint for folks to look away and not do what because Trump wants them to do.

How much would that damage the Democrat brand.....if it could even be more damaged than it is now?

The Democrats have no shame and liberals only care that Trump is harmed. The could not care less how, why, or how much. They want him in prison, but the will take anything from public slander, hurting his profits, smearing his name, harming his children, hurting his future political chances.

You speak as if Democrats had a conscience or a sense honor. lol You are way off there.

Trump is above the law. He will not face justice in this life.

The presidency is not a lifetime appointment.
Wait just a minute. Hillary kept even more top secret documents at her house on an illegal private server and she wasn't ever President.

I think the rules are if you are a wealthy powerful politician you can do things regular people can't, but maybe that only applies if you are a Democrat.

To be fair, it's hard for most people to look away from a train wreck in progress.

So was Hillary. She kept thousands of confidential documents illegally at her home on an illegal server as Comey clearly stated for the world to hear. She was above the law, sho he said they would not prosecute, even though they could have and certainly would have if she was just a regular level employee.

Let's not pretend it's only Trump. It's most all powerful politicians. Different rules for them than the rest of us peons.

It’s easy to look away. He’s consumed them and they can’t do it.

Actually there were 110 emails (not documents) that were determined to have classified info in the 30,000 emails returned by DOS. None of them were actually marked classified. Criminal intent would have been nearly impossible to prove.

In contrast, Trump was knowingly in possession of highly classified materials and they were clearly marked as such. He refused to return them and then directed his staff to hide them. It is far likelier that Trump can be convicted given these circumstances. But I doubt he will ever be prosecuted.

I do agree with your central premise though, that there is a double standard (or triple or more) in this country. Not only politicians seem above the law, but all manner of wealthy people and prominent elites as well. It extends all the way down to the common classes where community connections and race, for example, often dictate whether people face charges. Does anyone seriously believe that no one is above the law?

Glad we can agree on something.

No, Hillary did not. That has been repeatedly completely debunked in the media and here as lies every time it has tried to come back to life.
