As this country becomes more intolerant and continues to erase our history, we become a nation of radical and authoritarian rule and will eventually implode.
I think your issue is the country becoming more tolerant and transparent. The rightwing are the ones that want to install an authoritarian ruler. I think some of them even want an intolerant Christian Theocracy. Just because others are now invited to what was once exclusively your table does not mean you are a victim or are being discriminated against. Toddlers are taught to share so adults should already understand. Yes.

I've said several times here that Bernie wrote the lyrics. Elton wrote the actual songs.
He wouldn't have had to hide being gay. That's my point. He was intensely messed up and under the power of John Reid, who took advantage of him and used him.
And I know this because I've been a creative in the music industry for decades, and I know both Elton and John Reid. And Bernie for that matter. Myself and my two industry mentors worked on several of Elton's records, I know Elton's band well, and I've been friends with the production manager for the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road tour since I was 17.
I know this is heading off topic, but isn't John Reid the same guy Freddie Mercury wrote "Death On Two Legs" about? Sounds like he was a garbage human being.
Back to the topic. Disney can put all the gay/trans or whatever content they want into their movies and their parks. That's their right. And it's my right to step away from it as that lifestyle holds ZERO interest for me.
Edit: I see that "Death On Two Legs" was about Norman Sheffield. I remembered Reid was tied to Queen but I couldn't recall in what capacity.

It was assumed the new CEO was going to rein in the "woke" so as to head off the backlash Disney has been receiving in recent years. When you say you are going to keep doing what people thought you were going to stop doing, it is called "doubling down". It doesn't literally mean they are doubling the movies that are woke or something.
"Double down" just means you push back and stand firm in the face of strong criticism or hostile actions.

I love the authoritarianism chant against Biden while claiming even liberals have nothing good to say about him. It seems kinda double bind to me.

He was a vile human being. He owes people I know lots of money. Still.
Apart from that, my skin used to crawl every time he came into the studio. He was a nasty nasty man.
I believe he also managed Queen in the mid 70's, briefly.
He's the epitome of the slimy, dirty, corrupt manager. I have absolutely nothing but disdain for him and his deceptive, bloodsucking, exploitative ways.
And of course you don't have to participate in anything Disney, for any reason, that's your right and privilege as an autonomous human being.
