Actually children in republican areas of democratic states do better.
Because their parents care about their education and can afford to send them to private schools.
Democrats DON'T BELIEVE IN SCHOOL CHOICE, though, so if you happen to live in the inner city (which is 85%+ democrat in most cases), and your school sucks, you're outta luck.

I have been saying this for years. Obama was the cool uncle that let the kids party. Trump was the parent that came home and put a stop to it. Today we have the befuddled Grandpa that is handing out candy to the kids so they will continue to like him.
With all the expensive schemes of hand outs and freebies the Dems have in the works it is going to be near impossible for a Rep to come in and stop all the foolish spending.
What Black person is going to vote against the possibility of Reparations?
What student is going to vote against their debt being paid down?
What Immigrant is going to vote against having members of their family walk across the Border and be with them?
What woman is going to vote against the Right to have an Abortion for herself or others?
The Dems have it all sewn up to the detriment of the country.
Al Gore. Hillary Clinton. Stacy Abrams. There are still Dems whining about those. And Abrams has never conceded.
Now tell me which one of them tried to overturn the election? And which one of them filed dozens of baseless lawsuits and had their followers storm the capital or the state houses.

Democrats have been pushing victimhood, overly lenient policies and handouts for a while now.
Ideas and things like hard work, personal responsibility and accountability are things that the dems never ever talk about. It's always you're a victim of this or that and the system is blah blah blah.
We're getting dumber and fatter and softer as a nation, but damn it, we know our pronouns.

Bingo….the weak and entitled have no bounds…and it’s hilarious how folks think money can just be printed to pay for it all. It’s not government funded, it’s taxpayers funded. The only folks that deserve help are those that are physically and/or mentally unable to take care of themselves.

Clinton, conceded the next day
Abrams, clear loss no need to concede
