In the top 50 most populated American cities there is:

I'd gladly accept Singapore-Style laws for all of the top 50 most populated American cities.

It's a good question. The deeper question is how much freedom would you be willing to give up in exchange for safety and order?

I imagine it's very safe in China also, but not many Americans would like the Chinese system to be imposed here.

Rates of violent crime are very low in places like Europe and Japan due to strict gun control. We have had a robust debate here about whether it is worth giving up gun rights to reduce crime.

I've heard that in Singapore you can be caned for littering or writing graffiti. It's nice to have a clean city, but I'm not sure I agree with the punishment. Short answer for me is no, I'm not in favor of Singapore style law here.

How many civilized adults write graffiti like a hoodrat or litter like a bum?

It won’t work because Americans don’t have the same collectivist mindset that the Chinese do.
Singaporean governing is closer to Chinese governing (as well as shared culture) since Lee Kuan Yew was an inspiration for Deng Xiaoping, yet the brainwashed here are completely against China since that’s all the media pumps out but as evidenced in this thread, many are supportive of the strict style of governing.
They are ignorant sheep that fall for media lies about china, Russia, Iran, etc.

Yeah, I'm thinking it is a bit more than that. If you think that is the only reason violent crime is lower in those places, you are being quite a bit disingenuous.
Proof of that is there are many cities/states in our country with very little firearms restrictions that have low rates of violence.

We could probably airdrop crates of AR15's and ammo into Japan and you wouldn't see a rise in violent crime.
