fauxci's legacy continues to swirl down the tube.
Quote:
Louisiana and Missouri on Monday released the entirety of the November 23, 2022, deposition of Dr. Anthony Fauci as part of the lawsuit against the Biden administration and federal government, which Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry (R) said confirms that “federal bureaucrats in collusion with social media companies want to control not only what you think, but especially what you say.”

The lawsuit focused on allegations of federal officials colluding with social media companies to censor speech, and Fauci’s deposition, Landry explained, shows that “social engineering tactics were used against the American public, not to limit your exposure to a virus, but to limit your exposure to information that did not fit within a government sanctioned narrative.”

Yeah right. It had nothing to do with his lies, and his useless masks, lockdowns, and vaccines....

Claiming to be the dumbest person on planet earth has always been the refuge of the craven, corrupt and lying politicians and bureaucrats.

For some reason, maybe due to their slavish devotion to a particular political party, but way too many Americans will gleefully allow a dichotomy to exist for politicians and bureaucrats. For example, Hilary Clinton and Barack 0bama would claim to be the smartest, wisest of people on earth, a grand gift to humanity and the world. While at the same time they will also claim to be the dumbest, most ignorant, dim witted, incurious, incompetent boobs the world has ever witnessed.

I gave up counting how many times 0bama claimed to be an incompetent and incurious boob, by saying he only found just out about the horrible things his own administration was doing, when he watched it being reported on the TV news, like the rest of the nation did. He cannot be an ignorant couch potato, and still claim to be the wisest of men who should be reelected as president.

The only reason the US beat Polio as well as it did lies in the fact of very little pushback against the treatment. Today we'd see a far different scenario unfold, the anti vaxxers would be spreading it like wildfire. The vaccine that the CDC recommended, an mRNA type, was effective, and the CDC did understand the genesis of mRNA technology as something that had been in the lab environment for over ten years. On that score, it isn't correct to assume the vaccine was somehow a week long bit of work, totally untried, or totally dangerous etc.

Enter politics: Trump's attempts to put a spin on the disease became the focal point for those on the left, and the doubt that surrounded the vaccines was embraced by those on the right, Fauci, in the middle, was the target of the right's outrage, not just because he made the Donald look positively ill informed and somewhat disingenuous but moreover, the fact that he WAS the smartest guy in the room, and smart guys don't fare well when up against the most vicious of the ignorant. After the dust settled, most of the anti vaxxers remain steadfast in their claims of great harm being the legacy of the mRNA approach to what we now know will be the most likely standard in future vax technology.

It's a shame that our country, one of the most medically advanced in the world, became enmeshed in one of the largest repudiations of modern science. Intellectually challenged Troglodytes have emerged in our midst, and we are being forced to deal with them, I'm in no position to argue the finer points of scientific findings, and neither are most Americans. We will need to reestablish the trust that got us through some of the toughest times in America and that won't be easy in this terrible mistrusting era.

The damage to trust was done by the bureaucrats, like Fauci, Biden, Walensky, issuing orders on how we, the public, should behave.

Science ONLY works by open challenge - yet, there was no challenge during the pandemic. It was purposely suppressed as 'misinformation'. That dooms science and trust in the public eye.

In its stead we got what was basically dogmatic proclamations from Fauci as the Pope of Science that if questioned was met with ridicule and banishment from social media.

Science must stand on its own by challenge from all comers - what remains IS fact.
