After beginning transitioning as a young girl and undergoing a double mastectomy at 18 years old, now 24-year-old Prisha Mosley is detransitioning and speaking out about her struggles.
"One of the issues I have is the lack of identity," Mosley explained. "And on top of not having a lot of friends and having issues at home, when I found the trans community and found a new identity and was affirmed… that's what caused me to transition."
On "America Reports" Friday, Mosley attributed her mental health condition and manipulation from therapists and doctors for her decision to transition at such a young age. She said her parents were also manipulated into supporting the gender change.
"I was manipulated not only by my trans peers, but by my gender specialist, the person who gave me my letter of recommendation in surgery. It was all sold as like a wonderful thing," she said.
Unfortunately, we are going to see more and more of these people coming out and going after the Drs, psychologists, etc.
It's what happens when mental illness is encouraged and virtue signaling overrides truth. The Left loves to claim that they have empathy for these poor souls, yet they abandon what is empathetic in the first place when dealing with the mentally ill, which is telling these people the truth.
Unfortunately, we are going to see more and more of these people coming out and going after the Drs, psychologists, etc.
What the left is doing is purely child abuse
Yes, we are.
We are going to see a LOT of these, and hopefully they will be listened to with open ears. By other young people who might feel like they need to make this same mistake.
The parents were told (and probably by mental health workers with good intentions) that children who feel like they're living in the wrong gender are at very high risk for suicide. Because it's true, they are. Parents were put over a barrel, out of fear for the very lives of their children.
I do wonder, what this woman's life would be like now, if there were no medical gender procedures at all, involved.
My guess is, not in a much better place. There are young people who don't fit in, don't have friends, don't have supportive families (which is what drove her to this movement), and these conditions don't bode well for a well-adjusted life, whatever they blame that unhappiness on.
BUT. At the very least, let's hope counselors listen to her story, and others like her, and don't allow young people to blame gender for their inability to function socially.
Just as decades ago, young people like her came to believe they had been sexually assaulted and just couldn't remember it, and that's why they weren't functioning socially, and they lashed out and alienated their families over false claims of sexual abuse which ruined their lives.
This is why social transitioning is done first. So the person can really feel if this is what they want.
This is what was done years ago. The person who wanted to transition went through years and years of psychological counseling before the first drug, or the first cut is ever made
