While investors are on edge awaiting the latest from Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk’s plans for Twitter, one Wall Street firm has had enough.
This whole thing has been Elon's complete shirking of his fiduciary responsibilities to his shareholders. This has really hurt alot of people.

Musk said that is why he banned them? Link?

Oh wait no, it wasn't Musk who'd said it, it was your media who'd told you to think that's what he was doing. Seems Musk was using existing Twitter policy in doing it, and without government intervention either, suddenly you're upset about it. I'm sure you were fine and dandy when those on the right were being cancelled and cancelled at the government's behest, too.

Yes, Musk essentially gave the Marxists tastes of their own medicines.

That's an interesting piece of spin/gaslighting you have going there.

Meanwhile, Part VII of the Twitter files has dropped. In it, the fact that the FBI suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop story **BEFORE** the NYPost had it and **WITHOUT ANY EVIDENCE** of "Russian disinformation" has been proven and exposed beyond any doubt.

Where in the Constitution or in federal statute does the FBI or Homeland Security — also involved in similar efforts — have the authority to do that? And just how did the FBI decide to use a Hunter Biden “test case” for its training a few weeks before the New York Post reported on it? Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Furthermore, since when do American news organizations willingly sign up to suppress information from the public on behest of the FBI? It’s one thing to cooperate on publication of leaked information if it puts someone in physical danger, but it’s another entirely to act as the FBI’s censor on reported material.
Quote:
This is not just a disgrace, it’s a political scandal that may rival or even surpass Watergate. It may have had more impact on a presidential election, for one thing, and this time the conspirators include the media — especially the newspaper that blew the lid off Watergate back then and which lectures us today that “democracy dies in darkness.” The new Congress needs to put an end to Big Brother, identify everyone who participated in this government censorship combine, and put together cases for impeachment and prosecution of those involved.

I have a few questions for the half dozen or so C-D posters who are active on this thread for the seemingly sole purpose of trashing Elon Musk and defending what the prior owners of Twitter, the rest of Big Tech and the FBI did.

First, do you understand that EVERYONE was lied to by the FBI and the social media outlets? It wasn't just conservatives that were lied to when this story was suppressed with the smokescreen/lie of "it was hacked by the Russians." Does it not matter to you that you were manipulated and conned just like everyone else? Or is that OK as long as it works to the benefit of someone or some party that has your political support?

Second, are you so naive to believe that this will never be turned around and used against you, or people and groups you support? It has been proven now beyond any doubt that the FBI was meddling in domestic politics in order to benefit one side over the other. Are you confident that the FBI and the other governmental bureaucracies will never do anything similar to people and groups you support? If you are that naive, you need to think long and hard about that. Because by rubberstamping what happened to Trump and the Republicans, you are forfeiting the right to complain about it in the future.

Third, do you even have a remote understanding of the First Amendment? In what universe is the federal government permitted to dictate what is and is not accurate and legitimate information? What are the limits of the government's ability to dictate the public discourse in your mind? If you don't think there should be any limits, or that the FBI and Big Tech acted within appropriate limits in 2020, then what exactly is the difference between this country and any other authoritarian regime like China or Cuba or Venezuela? Do you value the Bill of Rights so little that you are happy to toss it in the trash can just because Orange Man Bad?

Fourth, is there any chance a single one of you will say something surprising that isn't a regurgitation of the standard talking points and lies of the DNC mouthpieces who are willing to say and do anything to justify what happened? I'll answer that one: Probably Not.

I don't think Twitter Files Part 7 has been linked in this thread or forum yet.

The FBI controlling truthful information and creating their own version about the Hunter laptop, and, "Russian interference" in the laptop and elections. Along with pushing the news media and social media to ignore the truth and run with the created info.

Fifth, Twitter is incredibly lame because there is no way you could have posted the above in 280 characters.

Your post was 2654 Words 453 Lines 35

I will never understand why people want to use Twitter at all. Message boards are sooo much better.

Grunting at each other 280 charterers at a time like neanderthals just angers everyone and makes it a troll fest.

Well, well, well. This one is more about Biden's laptop and the FBI being all up in Twitters business.

Liberals were so outraged over fictitious Russian interference in our elections, but have no problem with our own government interfering.
