Thousand times, Fauci only spoke what The POTUS allowed and whatever comes from the scientific and medical world. He is not, nor was ever in charge of Covid. They make recommendations with many others opinions.

Fauci has been at the forefront as one of the world's leading infectious and immune disease specialists since around 1980. This is not his first rodeo by any means.
The/his Pandemic related medical opinions and recommendations had to change as the virus mutated and the Pandemic evolved.
