That could be said for lots of restaurants. For sure the chain ones. They are all going to use the cheapest lowest quality and probably almost expired food that they can get away with. My first job at 16 was only a day at a national fast food chain. I was back in the kitchen doing prep. It was appalling the quality of the food they were using. The food was gross, the manager was yelling at everyone nonstop. I walked out before the end of my shift.
I haven’t been in a McDonald’s in a long time. All you can be assured of is that whatever ingredients they use are selected for low price and long stability, which means fillers and preservatives. You’re not buying what you think you are.
I love Muck muckers food. But have not been in years.
Can one still get $1.00 coffee without an app?.
As I really do not want to live like Gen Z, last letter in the alphabet.
I have noticed because I traveled a lot in the past. Coffee prices vary. But for the most part no. Soft drinks are no longer a dollar either. Not sure your age but I think they still have senior coffee. And it should be less than a buck.
I am all for speed and don't like to wait for anything. So apps that help me in that regard are great.
It also means you don't need to expose yourself to the relative purgatory of the inside of a McDonald's. Waiting behind some senior citizen because they think the CIA monitors their hamburger purchases if they use the app. They also insist on paying in exact change, meticulously digging for that last nickel while time stands still.
Truck stop food is some of the best. They make sure of that as the truckers pass that info on.
Yes! When I was traveling regularly I would stay at this hotel in PA that had a Denny's and a Wendy's and a truck stop. One day I went into the truck stop out of curiosity late morning before I got back on the road. They had fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, pizza, all sorts of stuff. I ended up getting vegetable soup, and it was really good.
When I go back that way, will definitely stop there again.

I fully assume the CIA is monitoring how many hamburgers I buy and I am fine with it!
I only go inside if I am traveling and need the restroom. But with the app you just wait for your number to be called. Not many people ordering inside. The old people yes.
But the trick is to use the parking stalls outside. They bring the food out to you. I use that trick with Chick-filla. At lunch their drive thru line is huge. You order on the app and then park. Much faster.
