I still can't get a clear answer as to why gas has gotten so expensive.

2 wars in the middle east, the dropping value of the dollar due to the national debt, speculators buying crude oil.

My understanding is that it's pretty simple....taxes....federal, state and local are a big reason why prices are the way that they are.

The price of gasoline rising to near $5/gal. has nothing to do with taxes, which have not changed.

Gas was 79 cents a gallon when I started to drive, for leaded gas. It was a nickel a gallon when my dad started to drive. "Drive all day on a dollar!"
I blame Obama for non-nickel gas. Come on Obama. Another president made gas that cheap. You can, too. What? Things CHANGE? Inflat-ion--What?
World economics??? Some of the Cheapest Gas on the Planet? Don't give me those shenaningans. LA LA LA Can't hear you, need to talk about gas, LA LA LA.
