He's getting angry. When lefties become angry, they become tyrants. They dwell on the idea of controlling people, and it becomes an obsession. Because, if only they could control people, it would surely be utopia... Of course, in reality, it has never worked that way before and likely never will.
I wouldn't want to be hanging around in California these days with all the mental illness, violence, drugs, homeless vagrants, coupled with incompetent leadership that only knows how to pass the blame onto others for their own failed leadership. Lefties in power are their own worst enemies, and I'm afraid Newsome is going to show is why, if he actually starts making heavy handed decisions. People are generally more likely to make stupid decision when they become angry.
He's not confused. Remember the time he said a California city looks like a real **** hole? He is aware of what's going on.
Maybe you're talking about the trains, too? I think he said something about it looking like a third world country.
How are those correlated? As far as I know both shooters have zero or very light criminal pasts. Which state would either the 66 year old man or the 72 year old man be in jail and what for? What light on crime policies lead to these shootings?

Anybody know?
Well, now we've heard from the "Let's not try to reinstate laws that HAVE worked for hundreds of years" contingent.
Anybody have any suggestions for how to deter or punish crimes as our crime rates soar?

In these two particular insistences, light on crime policies aren't to blame. They just show that firearms restrictions/laws don't do much.
There are plenty of other examples of "light on crime" policies resulted in more violence. This isn't something exclusive to CA though, it is happening in many states across the country.
Always the same....they think if they take away the guns that the killings will stop.
there's only 350,000,000 guns here in the US. Maybe a house to house search? Might as well look for classified documents too while they're searching through our houses.
Shouldn't be a problem getting them back. Let's schedule that right after they reinstate criminal penalties for pot possession.

Hahaha the way those docs keep turning up I'm about to search my attic!
His schemes have already been tried , both in California and elsewhere, always with the same results: Either nothing, or increasing crime rates. He's just hoping that normal people won't remember that.

“What the hell is going on?” Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) said in angry remarks delivered after visiting with victims’ families in Half Moon Bay, a beach town south of San Francisco where a 66-year-old man is accused of killing seven farmworkers the previous day.
Why do we even have laws if people still commit crimes? Anyone ever think of that? What’s the point?
Same reason we still use locks. Locks won't prevent a break-in, but they will keep honest people honest.
