They definitely need a taste of their own medicine X10 and then to spend five years in prison, making sure their "roomies" are golden glove boxers with bad tempers.
Wow! I lived the first 8 years of my life in Homestead and my parents wanted to get us out by high school as the violence was bad even 30 years ago. We moved when I was in 4th grade.
This is heartbreaking, I have a 9yo girl and to know this happened and maybe could have been my child if we had stayed, just no words. Hits too close to home. What is the world coming to?
This has been going on in the inner cities for decades. And Homestead, FL isn't the nicest place to live. I'm not trying to make light of this or make this a "no big deal" thing. I'm a cynical person who expects to hear stories about this. I expect it.
When I first saw this video I thought they had increased the playback speed...then I realized it was in real-time.
I will never understand why some will sit back and video something instead of trying to protect the girl, but these are kids so I give them a bit of leeway, because that video is a great piece of evidence. However, I don't give any leeway to the adults that were on the bus and could have stopped it.
Not only should the teenagers be fully prosecuted and IMO given an "equal" punishment, any adult who did not even attempt to intervene should be held personally responsible.
Of course this is Miami-Dade so I don't hold out much hope for either happening.

the driver was probably the only adult there. unclear if they were driving at the time.
Homestead has a bad reputation for gangs, crime and violence. We are still many teachers and school staff short. Hope the girl will be ok , and the guys in jail.
