Our southern border has a long line of people waiting to leave their ****hole countries, including Russians. For all you people who live in comfort complaining about things that don't effect your everyday lives, be a little grateful that you don't have to trek across the globe to escape a rotting cesspool run by a foolish dictator.

The Russian people are mostly good decent people.
Many are utterly and totally embarrassed by this whole thing.
That said, come here legally. Do not hop the fence.

The media is so tightly controlled in Russia it's hard to tell if the people are buying into the Ukraine war or not.

I see stories online that go either way. Saw a vid clip of a bunch of older men that were being called up to fight and they were standing around waiting for a bus to come get them and they did not look happy at all. These guys were all probably 40 plus and with a few looking closer to late 50s / early 60s.

It's a cosmic lottery to be born here as far as I'm concerned. We may have our issues, but I'll take here over many many other parts of the world.

The article doesn't say how the family earns money now.

"Mikhail says he earned good money teaching English and Chinese at a tutoring center. "
Does it mean that they teach English and Chinese in a country full of native English and Chinese speakers?

They probably expect that all their expenses will be paid by US taxpayers.

They have skills other than picking crops and standing in line begging for a govt handout.

Shouldn’t be a problem for them since our border is wide open, with folks like Joe Biden and Alejandro Mayorkas continuing to roll out the red carpet for folks who can’t seem to follow immigration laws.

I always count my blessings that my ancestors secured the place for prosperity and liberty. Not so sure about these leaders of today, going to ruin it.

What are these skills?

They have 2 infants, so the mother won't be able to work for a long time. Of course, Uncle Sam can pay for kindergartens.

The father teaches English.
I expect him to start from Uber, then move to an 18-wheeler.

As long as he works and pays taxes.
Unlike the other skells coming across the border that milk the free ride, work for cash, then send it back “home” where they eventually go back and live like kings with their American dollars.
Such a racket.

Most of the world is a ****hole. Should we make room for 5 billion people or so?
